PIPE DREAMS

I have a Honda XR 80R. Will an FMF Performax spark arrestor, a Pro Circuit pipe and silencer, a White Brothers pipe ans silencer, a Super Trapp pipe and silencer or a Yoshimura YRD off road pipe fit my bike? Will an E-Line lighting coil ignition work on the XR80R?

Dear Leonard,
White Brothers and Super Trapp probably have pipes for your machine, but it's doubtful the others do. Hoppd-up XRs used to be the backbone of mini racing and there were literally hundreds of options for pipes. Now the XR is more likely to be a recreational mount, so the options are limited. Donn Maeda, the editor of our sister publication, MXracer, has the SuperTrapp on his XR.

I doubt that E-Line has a coil, but Honda used to make an XL80R that was street-legal, so parts are available to give your bike lighting capability. I recommend that you check with Four Strokes Only at 818-765-5616 for information in lighting and the pipes.
